The Making of The Godfather Will Be Shown on Rebranded CBS All Access

CBS All Access will be overhauled as Paramount+, and Viacom CBS has revealed some exciting upcoming projects to be shown on its new platform.

The six-year-long life of CBS All Access has come to an end. In early 2021, CBS All Access will make way for the newly rebranded version of itself named Paramount+. The parent company ViacomCBS has made the decision and has also offered details of the exciting upcoming projects that subscribers should look forward to.

In the announcement made by ViacomCBS regarding the rebranding of CBS All Access, there was also information regarding five new shows. One of them was about the scripted limited series titled “The Offer,” which will explore the experiences of the producer Al Ruddy during the production of the iconic 1970’s Francis Ford Coppola film The Godfather.

The Offer will tell the story of Al Ruddy in a 10 part series, the script of which is being written by Michael Tolkin of ‘Escape at Dannemora” and “The Player” fame, and apparently, he will also be the executive producer on the project. Al Ruddy will also be involved as an executive producer, and Emmy Winner Leslie Greif has been roped in as an executive producer and writer.

Other upcoming projects apart from “The Offer” include “Lioness,” which will be a spy drama helmed by Taylor Sheridan. A team of executive producers has been recruited for “Lioness,” which includes the likes of Sheridan himself, Jill Wagner, David Glasser, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari. The Paramount Network and 101 studios produced project will relay the story grounded on a real CIA program and will follow the story of a young marine who is tasked upon to befriend a terrorist’s daughter to provide intel and aid in decimating the terrorist’s organization.

Viacom CBS also has a musical venture in the plans for Paramount+. It will stream MTV’s Behind the Music-The Top 40, which will dive deep into the lives of the 40 most prominent artists of all time that include the likes of Elvis Presley. It will be a combined product of MTV Studios and Creative Films.

“The Real Criminal Minds,” a crime-based docuseries based on CBS Television Show and Netflix’s show Mindhunter is another upcoming original venture. The fifth series that will be expected will be The revival of the BBC sitcom “The Game.”

Viacom has just given a very elementary look of its upcoming projects. The details regarding cast, showrunners, directors, and release dates have not been revealed yet.

The revamp of CBS All Access to Paramount+ has been a priority of Viacom CBS for several months now. In July, the company announced that a relaunch of CBS All Access was coming in the foreseeable future.

President and CEO of Viacom CBS Bob Bakish confirmed the news of the revamp with a statement. In the statement, he hailed the brand of Paramount+ and their integrity, class, and quality of storytelling, which is well known worldwide. He also spoke about his ambitious plans for the future and said that with Paramount+, he and everyone at Viacom CBS are looking forward to establishing a unique global streaming brand that will thrive on the kind of content that will be launched on the platform with each one of them having the “sheer breadth and depth of Viacom portfolio.”

According to a CNBC report that came out in February, ViacomCBS was planning to establish a very cheap streaming service that provides high-quality content at a price of less than $10. Currently, the version supporting advertisements in the CBS All Access costs around $6 per month, and the advertisement-free premium version costs around $10 per month. The report can or cannot be taken with a pinch of salt as Paramount+ will likely be launched with a lower price range for a limited amount of time to have some edge over its competitors. Although, it is imperative to point out that ViacomCBS neither denied nor confirmed the report from CNBC.

For now, it is shrouded in uncertainty whether Paramount+ will feature the same tier-based price ranges as it’s ongoing incarnation-CBS All Access or would it introduce a completely new bill payment system.

All About Samsung’s Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition)

The all-new Galaxy S20 FE (or Fan Edition) is the newest, budget-friendly S20 smartphone by Samsung. The S20 FE comes at a very lesser price compared to the main S20 variant. The S20 Fan Edition holds a moreover flagship style. To keep the cost down, Samsung had to do this. Most of the metal and glass that was present on the main S20 unit is not there on the Fan Edition. The S20 FE lacks most of it. All that has been replaced by the similar-looking polycarbonate material that is used by Samsung on a large scale on most of its A-series handsets. The S20 FE variant; however, lacks dignity, unlike an S20+. But all that won’t matter when you will have a look at its huge 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display which is somewhere between the screen size of S20 and the S20+ variant. We cannot neglect the fact that its screen is a bit more impressive than expected by us. However, the users will have to compromise on the resolution of its display which is only 2400×1080. This resolution is lower than the...
