The instructions for creating a Facebook Avatar for Android and iOS are almost similar. Follow the below-mentioned steps for the same:

  1. Tap on the Facebook app to launch it.
  2. Click on the hamburger menu on the top right corner and click on See More.
  3. Tap on Avatars and select the skin tone that matches yours and then tap on Next.
  4. You can customize your avatar in a lot of ways. Once you select your skin tone, choose the desired hairstyle and color for your hair.
  5. Then choose the face and eye shape and the eye color and makeup, and your body shape.
  6. Finally, you need to choose your outfit and headwear.
  7. After doing all the customizations, you also get options to adjust your complexion, your facial lines, eyebrow shape, and color. You can also add eyewear accordingly if desired.
  8. After that, you can choose your lips, nose, and facial hair and once you have finished the customization, click on the checkmark on the top right. Doing this will generate your Facebook Avatar.
  9. You need to click on Next and then on Done.
  10. Once the procedure is completed, you can share, view all the related stickers, or edit your avatar.
  11. You can also make the avatar your profile image or post it on your timeline by clicking on the Share icon.
  12. If you want to add the avatar to your timeline, click on Share to Feed and then on Share and then press POST.
  13. In case you want to set it as your profile picture, click on Set as Profile Picture. You can choose your pose and background color, and click on Next and then on Save.

How to Edit Your Facebook Avatar?

You can edit your Facebook Avatar by the steps mentioned below:

  1. On the top right corner, click on the hamburger menu and tap on Avatars.
  2. After your avatar gets loaded, click on the pencil icon.
  3. You can use the avatar builder for changing your look and once you have done editing your avatar, click on the checkmark to save your new avatar.

How to Use Your Facebook Avatar?

Once you have created your Facebook Avatar, you can send it through Facebook Messenger or use it in comments.

You can post your Facebook Avatar in a comment, just like you comment, a sticker, emoji, or animated GIF with these steps:

  1. If you want to comment with your avatar, click on the comment field, and tap on the Emoji icon.
  2. Now click on your avatar and select a sticker and then press the Send icon.

If you want to send your Facebook Avatar in Messenger,

  1. Tap on any of the already existing conversations or start a new one.
  2. Press on the Emoji icon appearing next to the text bar, click on your avatar from the variety of options appearing at the bottom and select the one you want to send.
